Construction Boom in West Richland ~ Subdivision Project Waiting for Permit
February 27th, 2007
WEST RICHLAND — City leaders are in the process of issuing a building permit for a residential and retail development project. The Red Mountain Center subdivision features 470-single family lots, and 22-lots for apartments, commercial and industrial use.
The 303-acres of land is west of Keene Road, between Van Giesen and Ruppert. “Includes amenities that include park trails, open space, really a lot of the planning concepts that we like to see in developments. We’re hoping that it will set a good example for the future development throughout the city,” said Todd Stowell, West Richland Senior Planner. The project includes an area for an elementary school. The land is also located near a new winery.
