Kennewick School District ~ The area won another ~What Parents Want~ award for the year 2005-2006. The national award acknowledges the Kennewick School District’s contribution to children’s education. The District was selected by School Match, an educational research firm that operates across the USA. This year only 2,504 school districts obtained an award, or 16% of the 15,573 schools nationally.
To be eligible for the award, a Kennewick School District must meet selection criteria that includes; a high level of achievement on test scores; competitive wages for teachers; has small class sizes; and has available secondary level programs. As such, the award is given to the Kennewick School District which is perceived to provide parents with services that meets their expectations with regard to the education needs of their children.
The School Match continually updates information on each public school across the nation, and this data is used by other organizations as well as consumers, to inform about families and children who move across school districts. In 2005 alone over 7,000,000 people made use of the services provided by School Match. The award commemorates the 30th year in a row that the Kennewick Wa Real Estate School District has been awarded by School Match.
