Pasco Real Estate ~ Council Projects in Pasco
Currently there are a number of both short-term and long-term projects underway throughout the city of Pasco . The community is expanding to meet the needs and expectations of its residents; the following is a brief review of how this is to be achieved: Road 68 and Burden Boulevard have been widened to allow for better traffic flow. A Free Right Turn lane has been added for traffic that moves north-east so that there is less likelihood of cars banking up at the freeway. The Turn has been operational since September, 2006.
Part II of the Road 68 program involves the State Highway Department widening the Toad to the south from Pasco Real Estate Burden Boulevard so that more westbound traffic can access the freeway heading towards Richland. Travel along the Ainsworth Avenue/S.R. 397 will soon see work begin on a railroad overpass. The overpass will negate the need for long train stops.
Also near Road 68 there is a new water reservoir that has been constructed that has doubled the water supply to residents. A competition was run in October for locals with a flair for art to design a piece for this tower, and the pre-existing one. Stay tuned as the winners are still to be announced.
