Pasco Real Estate ~ Southern Cross Land
March 31st, 2007
Pasco real estate has a unique horse and cattle farm ‘not far down the road’. Southern Cross Land and Cattle has a specialist breeding program focusing on Mexican Azteca Horses, Miniature and Toy Australian Shepherds and Piedmontese Cattle. The horses are bred mostly for dressage, doma vaquero, or as working cow horses. The miniatures are more suited to the show ring or for breeding, they also make suitable pets.
Southern Cross Land and Cattle (SCLC) can be found 10 miles north of Pasco. Their first breeding mares were purchased in 1990, and the bloodlines of the Quarter Horses and pure Spanish Andalusians were used to start breeding the Mexican Azteca horse stock. SCLC takes pride in the fact that their working farm places a high value on quality over quantity.
SCLC is a member of the International Azteca Horse Association, as well as the North American Peidmontese Association (NAPA). It is anticipated that SCLC will extend its breeding program to place itself it the top line of quality seed stock producers in Washington State.
Of great benefit for residents and visitors to the Pasco Wa Real Estate area is that SCLC hosts also the Southern Cross Kennels, and is registered with the National Stock Dog Registry. The Kennels are involved in breeding and showing of dogs, as well as providing companion pets: http://www.southerncrosslandandcattle.com/
