The clock is ticking for the city of Richland if it wants to bring Lamb Weston to Columbia Point.

The council will decide tonight whether to give Lamb Weston the option to buy 7.7 acres of waterfront property known as Tract D.

It also may be sealing the fate for 4.4 acres across Bradley Boulevard known as Tract E, and one of the last remaining pieces of open ground at Columbia Point.

Many residents have raised questions about the incentives the city has offered to Lamb Weston while others want the economic development the company will bring.
