Trey Scott is a local 13-year-old boy born with a severe heart defect, and at age 3, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. He has been in and out of hospitals around the country all of his life. Because of his experience of being in many hospitals in his short life, he set out to make Kadlec Medical Center the most “kid friendly hospital in Washington.” And he’s making great progress. For the past 2 years Trey has donated his birthday money and toys to Kadlec Medical Center and launched a project named “Trey’s Teddy Bear Auxiliary”, which has brought in cash gifts of nearly $10,000 ($9387). This does not include the large amount of in kind gifts that have been donated in the way of toys, games, etc. His goal is to raise enough to sustain the project on an ongoing basis.  The funds distributed so far amount to about $5,000 for interactive toys for the waiting areas of the hospital as well as the construction of a toy room in Kadlec’s pediatrics unit known as “Trey’s Beach Club”.
